Noah Raulston

Co-Founder/Coach

I am Noah Raulston, Co-Owner of Humble Beast Strength. My venture into the world of athletics and strength training kicked off early, with bodyweight exercises when I was just 7 or 8 years old. My sports journey has been diverse, but my heart always leaned towards baseball, where I spent 12 years honing my skills. However, in recent years, my focus has shifted towards powerlifting. Over the past two years, I've not only embraced this sport but excelled in it, securing a second-place finish at nationals and ranking 19th in the world total for my age and weight class at just 17 years old. These experiences have fueled my passion for enhancing athletic performance and skill development, which I now channel into helping others achieve their fitness aspirations.

In 2021, my athletic journey hit a significant roadblock when I broke my arm during baseball tryouts. Attempting a long throw, I heard a sharp snap in my elbow, confirming a fracture in my throwing arm. This injury led to missing my entire freshman baseball season and embarked me on a challenging path of rehabilitation. The recovery was tough, but my resolve was stronger; I was determined to return better than ever. Once I could lift weights and play baseball again, I discovered a new love for powerlifting. This experience wasn't just about physical recovery but was a profound lesson in resilience and determination, qualities that have only sharpened my edge in powerlifting and my approach to life's challenges.

As a coach, my focus is on nurturing young lifters and athletes, particularly those in middle and high school who are at the onset of their strength training journey. My own training was deeply influenced by my father, Owner and Co-Founder of Humble Beast Strength, who instilled in me the principles of safe and effective lifting from a young age. Inspired by this mentorship, I am dedicated to providing a similar foundation for young athletes. My objective is to arm them with the knowledge and skills necessary to not only excel in their chosen sports but also to foster a lifelong commitment to strength training. I am eager to guide, support, and empower the next generation of athletes as they navigate their fitness journeys, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.

David Raulston

Owner/Coach

I am David Raulston, Owner of Humble Beast Strength. My love for strength training started in middle school, amidst a backdrop of various sports like baseball, football, basketball, and wrestling. After school, a group of friends and I would sneak off to the high school gym where we began our lifting journey. We were novices, to say the least, but the love for lifting was immediate and undeniable.

In high school, my lifting took on purpose, serving as preparation for wrestling and baseball seasons. I grew stronger, but my focus was seasonal rather than a lifelong commitment. This trend continued into my early college years until life's priorities shifted—marriage, family, and education took center stage, and I stepped away from the weights around the age of 21.

As an adult, my relationship with fitness was inconsistent, dabbling in everything from P90X to CrossFit, but nothing managed to stick long-term. Over time, I found myself in a cycle of gaining weight, feeling unwell, and lacking energy—until August 2022, when I hit a personal turning point. Frustrated with my health, I decided to invest in a gym membership, betting on the psychology that spending money would motivate attendance. I was right; it worked. I purchased a beginner's program, committed to early morning sessions at 4:30 AM, and transformed my health.

Now, two years later, I not only feel great but have also competed in multiple powerlifting events. This resurgence in passion for training led my son and me to open Humble Beast Strength. Our vision is clear: to guide others on their personal strength training journey, sharing the profound positive impact it's had on our lives. We're excited about the future, both for ourselves and for those we aim to help. We're all about creating lasting change and would love the chance to assist you in achieving your fitness goals.
